WENGER PASSES GUNNERS LANDMARK

Arsene Wenger becomes the longest-serving manager in Arsenal's history on Thursday.
The Frenchman took charge of the Gunners on September 28, 1996 and has since gone on to win three Premier League titles and four FA Cups during his 4,749 days at the helm. Wenger also led Arsenal to the Champions League final in 2006 but his hopes of European glory were crushed after Barcelona secured a 2-1 win in Paris. The former Monaco chief has now surpassed George Allison, who was in charge of the north London outfit between 1934 and 1947, as the Gunners longest-serving manager and he has been backed by his current squad.

Wenger Brought Henry into the club in 1999 from Monaco and he went on to be the club's top goalscorer of all time with 226 goals in all competitions between 1999 and 2007 having surpassed Ian Wright's total of 185 in October 2005. Wright's record had stood since September 1997, a feat which overtook the longstanding total of 178 goals set by winger Cliff Bastin in 1939. Henry also holds the club record for goals scored in the League – 174– a record that had been held by Bastin until February 2006.

Cesc Fabregas, Arsenal's curr
ent captain, was signed by Wenger as a 16-year-old from Barcelona's youth team and he has now gone on to be one of the most valuable players in world football during his time at the Emirates Stadium.

After failing to produce any silver ware for almost the last 5 seasons, wenger credibility has in recent times comes under scrutiny. But the frenchman does not bother himself about this. The board management and fans are still in support of him. He is still a great coach. He has recruited more players, and many youth team players has been called into the senior team to boost the squad. The likes of Russian Arshavin, English Theo walcot, Spanish fran Merida who gave Nigeria U20 something to think about in Egypt on monday and Thomas Vermaelen, etc.

These are talented stars that can turn things around for Arsenal. I hope they will bring back those good days for Arsene Wenger to smile victoriously again.

AC Milan Wants Fabregas for 35million Euros PLUS Arsene Wenger's new Formation

How does that other saying go? Adding salt to injury? Or making an already bad situation worse? Well, it seems to me that after Arsenal has lost two star players – do I still have to name them? – they are being asked to lose yet another.

Just like asking a man with measles to add elephantiasis to his stockpile of diseases.

As I heard (and as the crow flies) AC Milan are attempting to cause a new depletion to Old Trafford. It seems they are not deterred by the fact that Arsenal has only recently lost two players – Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure – with some people speculating that the sale is a loss Arsene Wenger will live to regret.

I hope in the interest of football that this attempted “deal” does not fall in place as it will leave quite a number of Gunners fans extremely angry.

In one simplified sentence: AC Milan has submitted their bid for Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas. The club president on the Milan side has given his permission for the pursuance of the bid. Yay!

Now the details: Milan wants to make the juicy offer of 35 million euros for the Gunners star midfielder. They are hoping to seal a three year contract with the cool kid, all the while dangling a four million a year bait over the proposed five year deal. The almighty Berlusconi himself has admitted to saying that he is in search of under 23 years old players to enrich his squad. He attests to the fact that Fabregas will be a splendid addition.

Meanwhile, Asene wenger has come into braod light to explain how his team will play for the forthcoming season. Seems he has learnt a thing or two from Barcelona FC. He has revealed that the Gunners will play in the remarkable 4-3-3 formation that Barca have often and tirelessly employed in bringing down formidable football foes.

The fact that Toure and Adebayor have left a chink in the armor notwithstanding, some adjustments have been made to the tactical arrangement to ensure maximum play.

You probably already have noticed the adoption of the new formation in their pre-season play.

As Wenger himself said, “when you play with Arshavin, you are never on your own, when you play with Theo Walcott you are never on your own”. I can almost imagine the old boy beaming with pride.

He emphasized that the amount of output that will be gotten from his strikers will depend on the amount of support they get from the other part of the team.

He explained that the pre-season play will be a form of test run of the new formation as it will enable him strike the tentative balance between the offensive and defensive portions of his reputable squad. He expressed immense satisfaction with the results so far.

I must admit that Arsene Wenger really loves his Gunners and he believes they are the best. Whatever the case, I believe staunch Arsenal fans will stand solidly with their manager’s moves, knowing they are borne out of good will and love.

May the best team win.

Confirmed: Kolo Toure Signs for Manchester City

The sale of Kolo Toure no doubt will be heart breaking for Arsenal fans. He is one of the players the fans have fallen in love with over time.

No one will hold any grudge. He has served Arsenal in a manner that very few have. When you consider the fact he came in to take over from player like Keown, and some other Arsenal greats, his quality can not be disputed. 16 million pounds is a lot of money, but Arsene as usual 'Knows'. He has never gotten it wrong in terms of when to let a player leave. After the African Nations Cup, Kolo Toure has never been the same again. But his sale will only make football sense if that cash is plunged back into the team.
If Arsenal Brings in a world class striker and and a combative midfielder, i believe they can challenge for the title considering the quality in the team, especially now that players who were missed for the whole of last season are back.
I know a few will graduate from the youth team, but at the back Vermalean and Djourou seem Arsene's first choice, Gallas, Senderous will probably have to fight for their places in the team. In all this Arsene Wenger must not anger Fabregas any further by failing to give him a strong midfield partner. 'Arsene Knows'.

The announcement was made on the Arsenal Official website.
Kolo Toure has today signed for Manchester City for an undisclosed fee.
Toure (28), who joined Arsenal from Ivorian side Asec Mimosas in February 2002, made a total of 326 appearances for the Gunners, being a regular in the first team over the past seven seasons.

During his time with Arsenal, Kolo won the FA Cup in both 2003 and 2005, and was part of the ‘Invincibles’ squad who won the 2003/04 Premier League, going the entire season unbeaten.

Now Arsene should use this cash properly to at least asuage Arsenal fans who will all miss Toure.

Not Again?! Arsenal Sells Another Player (Kolo Toure) To Manchester City

I don’t know if you feel as I expect you should feel, but I know this: Manchester City was not making idle threats about their bid to unseat Arsenal from the pinnacle of the Big Four.

As if buying Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor from the Gunners was not enough, they have performed the same, er, magic still on the Gunners. Believe me, they have bought Kolo Toure as well.

It all started this morning when there was news that the Ivorian was heading to Manchester City for a medical, and a few hours later, it was indeed confirmed that the star had been transferred to the Citizens’ side.

It is not quite clear at this moment how much the deal was worth, but I am guessing within the 15-16 million pounds range. That adds another, say, fifteen million to Arsenal’s end of the account after the sale of Emmanuel Adebayor for 25m to the same club – Man City.

Eastlands so far have not spared the cash as it is now believed that their total expenditure on new players has gotten to the gut-wrenching sum of ninety-five million pounds. Make no bones about it, these people mean business!

According to Kolo himself, he feels that this stage in his career is necessary for advancement as he has high hopes and dreams for football. He claimed that he is deeply in love with Arsene Wenger and his band of merry men (I mean, after eight years of sticking together, what else was expected?). In other words, whatever move he is making now is for the best – however you look at it.

He expressed total admiration for the Sheik’s ambition and he shared Mark Hughes’ dream for the club, and he feels that with the other squad members – Carlos Tevez and Adebayor, to mention some – his hopes can actually be actualized.

Someone said that Kolo is one player who does his thing from the heart. Once he is convinced and committed, well, the sky would only be a minor touchstone.

Something more for your reading pleasure: there are some speculation that our recent addition to Man City’s side’s fellow international might also be sold this week. I mean none other than Emmanuel Eboue. Apparently, the deal will take up the figures on Arsenal’s balance sheet for player transfer to an impressive sum of fifty million pounds. Good? Or bad?

Anyway, I believe this is just an interesting move in the favour of the spirit of football. Whether these moves will favour Arsenal, or Manchester City on the other hand will be a factor of time. I know one thing: there is steadily becoming general unease in the camp of Arsenal fans. Maybe Arsene Wenger is proving too inactive for comfort? Or does he have an ace up his sleeve? My curiousity is piqued.

Meanwhile, stakeholders for Arsenal are complaining that Adebayor’s sale to Manchester City was done is blatant error. They would have preferred his sale to “any other club apart from Manchester City.”

Arsenal: We want Solomon Kalou to Replace Adebayor

It seems that the Gunners are not looking far in their bid to replace their departed brethren, Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor. In fact, it is so close that it has to be in Chelsea’s backyard.

Our Gunners’ manager, Arsene Wenger obviously wants to get his replacement from across London. And guess who the intending surprise replacement is? None other than star player for the Blues, Solomon Kalou.

Ever since the fateful, and not altogether profitless, sale of their former player, Adebayor, they have been on the look our for a nice and suitable replacement. True, the Ashburton outfit are right now in the market for a striker substitute. It seems their eyes have finally rested on Solomon Kalou.

Funnily enough, they have declared that they won’t waste much cash on any replacement they select.

But according to my source, News of the World, they have finally come to the general consensus that they can get a grab at Solomon Kalou for the price of about seven million pounds. I’ll leave you to decide if that is a whooping sum or not.

The reason for their confidence might not altogether be far-fetched: See, our Ivorian striker’s contract is about to expire (next summer to be exact) and this might have led them to believe that the Blue team might consider that an opportunity to make some quick bucks. Logic!

You see, Chelsea manager has openly declared that he would be glad to have Solomon Kalou on for the next season. In other words, he would be happy for Solomon Kalou to remain on Stamford bridge, but there are speculations that the fact that he has not been offered a renewal of contract may mean that all pending and subsequent offers will be, and probably, are being considered. Solomon Kalou, did you know, is currently earning forty five thousand pounds weekly, and it seems that the Gunners want to butter that bread even more as they seem ready to part with seventy thousand pounds weekly as his compensation if he does join their club.

A “Chelsea Insider” (I call him, or her (though highly unlikely for it to be a she) a little bird) informed an outsider (a reporter, in my once again humble opinion) that Solomon Kalou, although flattered by Arsenal’s interest in him as their striker, is quite happy to be in Chelsea. He declared full commitment to the blues.

Times, change, people change, resolve weakens, and mountains wear off. Even Jesus Christ said something along those lines, He said If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you could say to the mountain, be cast into the sea. Well, it may seem that Kalou is determined to stay with the blues, but I can some handwritings on the wall, although they are a little vague right now. The fact that Chelsea hasn’t come up with a new contract spells various meanings, some of which I would do better to leave to your conscience and intelligence for suitable explanation.

Comments? Excellent.

EMMANUEL ADEBAYOR: MANCHESTER CITY WILL USURP ARSENAL'S POSITION IN THE BIG FOUR

It is with an immense feeling of football tension, tingling nerves, and excitement that I bring this juicy piece of news. Who said Action thrillers beat football? Tell that bugger: wrong again!! I am feeling the passion for football right now and I know that in a few, you would join me.

Let me inrroduce one who needs no introduction: Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor, star player and former player for famous club, Arsenal F.C. (the Gunners). In case a bit of news has eluded you so far, from last week counting up to today, the young Togolese is no longer a gunner, but has left to find greener pastures with Manchester city. Arsene Wenger, I heard sold him to the club for twenty-five million pounds, I think. Well, that is beside the point. the fact is that the Togolese now has a new allegiance, and he has openly declared that his new team has all it takes to strip his former club of their enviable position in the Big Four Monopoly.

Kind of reminds me of the movie: Renegade.

He declared easily: That is why I am here. that is exactly why I am in this club, at this time, and at this season. his reasons for his staunch confidence in his newfound love: They have got the players needed for this feat, they also have the squad required, and finally, they have the spirit. We should never forget that: the spirit; very important. The spirit to fight, tenaciously, until they get to the top Four. Hmm. Those are his reasons for signing into Manchester City.
And in the manner of great orators, after taking our hopes up to cloud nine, he confessed that he couldn't assure us (yes, us: the loyal fans and critics) of a position at the higher-ups, but he chipped this in: This club will do everything, fighting tooth-and-nail so in the end, we would all have to applaud. They will fight on the pitch, and try to hold the upper hand, and they hope they can gain the upper hand eventually. Bravo, bravo!!

Our dear beloved forward says that with the quality of players in his new club, and comparing them with the quality he noticed in his former club, he says that he is sure that the Citizens have almost equal, if not better chances of claiming a Champions League title as the Gunners. The forward also felt that having seen the quality of players currently at Eastlands, and comparing them with those at his old club, the Citizens have as much chance as the Gunners of claiming a Champions League place.Meanwhile, Manchester City, we know, prepared for and lost the match against Kazier Chiefs - the one for the Vodacom title - thereby giving the title by default to the Kazier Chiefs. It was a one nil game, and Emmanuel Adebayor featured in the game. Oops!
By the way: City's manager, Mark Hughes, is full of praise and admiration for his newly-acquired player.

Nothing could possible go wrong, or could it.

Please say something on this matter.

Can Manchester City Break the Big Four Monopoly at Arsenal's Expense?

Wow! The second “Blues Revolution” is here! And Manchester City seems to be riding the waves this time. Guess What? Manchester City seems about to break the Big Four Monopoly!!

Too much money, they say. But in this case, the money (or modestly put, Manchester City’s newfound wealth has earned them the ability to overtake the rest of the Premier League financially. Many of us are enthusiastically shouting “Go, Go!” as we believe that they may take over on the pitch in the next season.

Talk about the Big Four Monopoly: Manchester City is set to bring it all crashing down!! Take the eighty million pound outlay by Mark Hughes, and you can already see Man City buying Aston Villa’s Gareth Barry and adding to their ammo stock Carlos Teves from Manchester United. Whoopee!!

It might seem a general attack; a free for all brawl, but it seems that our nouveau riche club has a primary target: Arsene Wenger and his loyal boys. Yes, Manchester City now has the power to break the Big Four Monopoly in the Premier League. Smashing!

One reason why we have come to this conclusion is Man City’s buying of star player Emmanuel Adebayor from the Gunners last Saturday. Yeah, some Arsenal fans may jubilate that finally, the pain-in-the-ass player who always plays a game of come-get-me with their favorite club is finally rid of, but the basic thing is this: they have been further deprived of their top net-finder since Henry Thierry’s departure to Barca in 2007.

Fans of the Gunners are also becoming nervous as Arsene Wenger has failed to strengthen up front of their team. This has led them to believe that their position on the top Four position is weakly placed, and may soon come crashing down with the wind of change.

We know that Arsenal was recently threatened by the Spurs, but they were unable to follow through due to lack of financial clout, but this newly rich club, thanks to Sheik Mansoor’s cash, won’t have to lose a night’s sleep over this: they can take it head-on. They would never have to complain over squad depth or ability.

I am enjoying myself immensely: I like this. However, I don’t think that writing the Gunner’s off as a non-issue at this point would be considered as football wisdom. Infact, it would reek of folly. Yeah, I know that the Gunners have been down when compared to the other top Three in the last season, and there has been little activity in their transfer market in all four top teams. However, Arsenal should not be written off.

For one: Manchester is considerably weaker that the Gunners’ strength. In fact, all rivals for the fourth place are inherently weaker that Arsenal. Man City may have the stronger set of strikers up front, but they cannot make up for their weak defense as well as their inferior midfield.

One other thing: Arsenal’s team consists of players of high ranking and should therefore be given their due respect.

Bottomline: toppling the Gunners from the Big Four won’t be easy, although I sure would love to see it happen.

What do you feel about this bit of news? Comment, Please.

Eduardo Da Silva's First Post Injury Interview: "I will never watch that Video Again;

He is also dissapointed that till date, he is yet to hear from martin taylor who has failed to call him and apologize.

Eduardo Da Silva, Arsenal"s brazillian Born croatian striker returned to reconing after about a year of a gruesome injury courtesy Martin taylor of Birmingham. He has vowed never to see that video of what happened to him on that faithful day.
As Eduardo finished his lunchtime pizza in a homely North London restaurant, he declared: “I’ve never seen it, I don’t want to.
“I will NEVER watch a film of what happened at Birmingham when I was tackled.
“I never read a newspaper, I never watched a sports news bulletin, I never even logged on to the internet. I didn’t want to know anything about how my injury happened. It was a news blackout.”
Some over-the-top fans even sent death threats to Taylor because the injury to Eduardo was one of the worst ever witnessed.
The Brazil-born hitman, 25, added: “When I was discharged from hospital, I’d lay on my bed at home eating popcorn with my leg up in the air, watching film after film.
“I ate lots of popcorn as I watched a LOT of films — but that incident? No, never. I wasn’t even tempted.”

He added: “When I played against Cardiff in the FA Cup and scored twice the other night after so long out, I felt like I was reborn.
"On February 23 it will be exactly a year since my accident. I have gone through a lot of emotions and a lot of hard work but hearing the fans sing my name at The Emirates was a magical moment.
“Lots of people were talking and I heard someone say I could lose my foot. I wondered what they meant.
“I lay there, I didn’t even try to wriggle my toes, I forgot about the pain, I forgot about everything.
“At that moment, I was so uncertain of the future. I was gripped by fear. I was unsure of what would happen. Medics gave me pain relief, so much pain relief — morphine — that my head went a bit dizzy and I can remember holding on to the arm of our physio very tightly during the journey.
"Within an hour of reaching the hospital I was being prepared for my operation. The surgeon was fantastic, I’m told that he had worked a lot with soldiers who were injured during conflict.
“He put a metal plate in to help repair my fibula. That — and the screws holding it in place — will stay inside my leg for ever.
“The first person I saw when I came round after the surgery was my wife, Andreja. It was so good to see her face and at that precise moment I made a decision that I would be back playing football no matter what happened.
“Motivation to beat the injury came from Andreja, my daughter Lorena, my family and everyone who was helping me get over the injury.”
When Eduardo scored against Cardiff on Monday in the FA Cup game, he ran to the touchline and gave Arsenal fitness coach Tony Colbert a big bearhug.
The player explained: “Tony was there doing all the physical recovery work with me. He played a big part.
“But, in truth, when I scored I wanted to give EVERYONE a big hug. I wanted to hug everyone at Arsenal who had helped me. I wanted to hug the doctors who operated on me, the nurses who looked after me and, of course, all my family.
"It was a long haul back to fitness. After weeks in plaster I encased my ankle in a special plastic boot full of air pillows and even then I had to walk with crutches.
“The hardest part was going to training and seeing the rest of the squad running, laughing and joking, kicking a ball. I had to bide my time.
“I’ll never forget when I kicked a ball again for the first time. I was smiling, I really thought I’d be able to play a full match the following day.
“When I made my first tackle, I wasn’t nervous. I behaved as normal, as if nothing had happened to me.
“The boss Arsene Wenger was of course very good to me. And he was patient. I was never rushed.
“Before I played on Monday, I’d only played two reserve games but Mr Wenger knew I was eager and ready. He waited until five o’clock to tell me I’d be starting the match.
“Many things went through my mind but none of my thoughts were negative. When I walked out through the tunnel, it was the best feeling ever.
“And when I heard the crowd sing my name, it was special. The chants of ‘Eduardo, Eduardo’ meant I was back.”
The Croatian international is not also happy that up till this moment Martin Taylor is yet to call him and apologise.
Eduardo said: “Some friends told me he was saying he’d spoken to me — but he never did. I’ve never met him.
"And someone at Arsenal received an email from him when I played for the reserves at Barnet a short while back and it said he was pleased I was playing again.
“I have received lots of mail from other people. I’ve had around 25,000 emails — from Croatia, Brazil and England — wishing me a speedy recovery and I’ve had letters by the sackful.
"But he’s never sent anything directly to me.”
The Croatian star’s nightmare began last February when his leg and ankle were broken by Taylor’s red-card lunge during a league clash at St Andrew’s.
Taylor, 29, has always maintained he never set out to hurt Eduardo and says he was distraught at what happened.
Eduardo added: “I did not see the tackle coming, so there was no way I could ride the challenge because I was not expecting it. When I was tackled I heard a crack.
“All I can say was that I had the ball under control for what seemed like a long time.
“But I don’t want to talk about the incident. It’s probably best left alone now.”

Arsene Wenger Is the Craziest Coach In The world

Every year fans of this beautiful club are disappointed by Arsene Wenger or is it David Hill Wood? I have stopped to believe that the board always makes cash available for Wenger who will rather prefer not to buy.

I think no coach loves to lose, Arsene Wenger inclusive. Someone is definitely not telling the fans the truth. It is either Wenger is deceiving the fans, or the board is deceiving him._45164917_stoke_arsenal226b

The board keeps telling the world, there is money to spend, but no one is using it, instead Wenger keeps buying crumps from other clubs like William Gallas, Amaury Bischoff and now  Mikael Silverter.

After the exits of Flamini, Gilberto, it was widely expected that Arsene Wenger will bring in capable replacements. Gareth Barry and Xavi Alonso were all hitching to leave their respective clubs but wenger won't move in, instead whiel everyone was told the team was doing fine, we all saw Nasri, Silverter and Bischoff brought in. Silverter a total waste while Bischoff is yet to be dressed 10 games on.

So is it really true that Arsene wenger's team needs no fortification? If the defeat to Hull was because they were underated and the 4-4 draw to spurs was due to lose of concentration, the 2-1 defeat at stokes surely tells the truth. Arsene Wenger must review his transfer policy. It is not too late yet to do something come the January transfer window.

David Beckam In AC Milan

After yesterday's signing, Fabia Capello rained praises on Beckham but David Beckham's unlikely return to front-line football was sealed yesterday when he signed a three-month loan deal with AC Milan. The England boss Fabio Capello immediately commended the move that many felt he helped orchestrate in the hope of extending Beckham's England career. With beckham looking to make history as one of the most caped wingers in England, it now seems his dream will come to pass. The 34-year-old Beckham will join the San Siro club in January ostensibly to keep his fitness up during the US close season and will return to Los Angeles Galaxy in March. becks The MLS season finished for the Galaxy this week as they failed to make the play-offs.

While Ac Milan and is flexing muscles with cash, especially with news making the rounds they are offering $35 million for Fabregas, Chelsea does seem to be real deep in the credit crunch thing as it has hit home in the most unlikely place in football - Stamford Bridge. According to the Times, Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari has been told that he must sell players before he is allowed to buy any new personnel. "Scolari had expected to be given some of the £28m that was set aside to sign Robinho in the summer before the club were gazumped by Manchester City on transfer deadline day," reports the newspaper, "but, with Chelsea looking to cut costs across all areas of their business, the money will no longer be forthcoming. This is making it look like Solomon Kalou will still move to Arsenal afterall. The Brazilian had shrugged off comments from Peter Kenyon that Chelsea would not be “active” in January, but since the chief executive's remarks at last week's NFL Global Sports Summit the message has been relayed to him internally."

What are Arsenal's Chances Of Winning A Title This Season?

Going by Arsene Wenger's selection for the Saturday's game against Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal seems to think their chances of getting to the Champions League Final and winning it is more realistic than winning the premier league title now. Emmanuel Adebayor was rested for a greater duration of the game which ended 1-1 after Peter Crouch found the back of the net to put Liverpool ahead and a Bretdner strike that could only rescue a point for the once table toppers.

Adebayor really must be in a good shape for the Gunners to get anything out of the Tuesday trip to Anfield else, I see no reason why an out-of-form Robin Van Persie should be paired with an inexperienced Theo Walcot against a crack team like Liverpool. With the 1-1 draw, Arsenal seems to have finally conceded the title to Manchester United.

It is really sad that the season seems to be crashing at these young Gunners at this time after a very impressive first half and will be a pity if they fail to capture at least a title.

But what are their chances of a title this season? Presently apart from Emmanuel Adebayor slowing down, the defense will be the major department of the team that could make or mar Arsenal's hope of a title this season. At the moment only Senderous and Clichy seem to have the right focus to help the team and apart from an occasional William Gallas goal scoring spells, nothing else is really inspiring about the Arsenal last four. Kolo Toure and Gallas have become a shadow of themselves having so much problem holding back opposing strikers especially in aerial balls and understanding each other. Their lack of coordination has seen Arsenal concede some very bad goals resulting in 6 draws, a lose and just one win in the last 8 premier league games. With Bacary Sagna set to be out for another 2 weeks and Djouru still out the manager will have to continue with this four and to me this is where the problem lies.

For Arsenal to move to the next stage of this Champions League and further brighten a title hope, they need to at least score a goal at Anfield without conceding any. My doubt is not in whether they will score but whether they can avoid conceding a goal. They seem to have forgotten how not to concede.

Siasia on The Match Again

Super  Eagles captain Nwankwo Kanu has arrived Nigeria to support the national U-23 side when they file out against the Amaglug-glug of South Africa as they battle for the 2008 Olympic Games ticket at the Abuja National Stadium on Wednesday

This is one Nigerian coach I admire so much not just because he has done us proud in the past but the fact that he's so committed to what he does.

He's got this doggedness which is very rare in the Nigerian coach. He has the ability to manage men which i think is what makes him so special.

A victory tomorrow will set him on another history making mission to the olympic. so lets us come out and drum support for the rare gem. Thanks to Kanu, many will now also see the need to support him.

According to Kanu Nwankwo “We must be at the Olympics, we have all it takes to be there and all of us must support Samson Siasia and his boys to get the Olympic ticket. I will be there myself.”

We need to encourage our own coaches.

Arsenal Vs Liverpool (Champions League Quarter Final Preview-2008)

Among the English quartet that have made it to the quarter final stages of the champions league, only the game between Arsenal and Liverpool seems really worth talking about.

Though bookmakers support Arsenal to win the match, many analysts have questioned such stance especially with the gunners currently at a slowed pace and almost a shadow of themselves in their last two premiership game after the historic victory at San Siro.

The Quarter final fixtures is as follows:

Champions League quarter-final draw:
1 Arsenal v Liverpool
2 AS Roma v Man Utd
3 Schalke 04 v FC Barcelona
4 Fenerbahce v Chelsea

Champions League semi-final draw:
1 Arsenal/Liverpool v Fenerbahce/Chelsea
2 Schalke/Barcelona v AS Roma/Man Utd

Before this draws, Wenger is said to have expressed is desire not to be paired with an English team and many have since interpreted this to mean fear.

I think if you ask Manchester united, they'll also tell you they'd prefer to play against some other team than play Arsenal. The thing is that playing a local team puts one against a team too familiar of your style and thus can be difficult sometimes.

Liverpool being what they are in Europe, more people think they should carry the day. But this is one Champions League game I will prefer not to say anything. The reason is that, Liverpool seems to always have the know how in Europe. But now they will be playing against Arsenal, a team that has already dominated them this season in the league right there at Anfield. Though with Arsenal's current form, anything can happen. From the beginning of this season, I have said the season will be decided by who is hungriest for a title when the chips are down. So whether Liverpool will carry the day or not, it isn't going to be as easily as they found Inter Milan.

My prediction is that, I don't see Liverpool escaping a defeat in the Emirates Stadium. How well they can turn that around in Anfield may be the decider.

Arsenal outclassed AC Milan with a style that suggested they can reach a second CL Finals

Arsenal outclassed AC Milan with a style that suggested they can reach a second Champions League final in three seasons
Can they get to the Final again. Ancelloti agreed that his team was Outclassed by Arsenal. Does this mean that this Arsenal this is unbeatable especially when they are complete. You can actually count the number of games they have lost this season on your finger tips.
In all these games, they team lost , they was always an injury crisis, or resting of players for a different championship. Ofcourse by the time the big players are deployed it was usually over.
Yesterday we saw an Arsenal team without Kolo Toure and Van Persie make history in San Siro. Doing what no English tem has ever done and in Style. Though it is too early to say, but Is this another run to the final for Arsenal?

Eduardo will Be Back In Nine Months

After a gruesome tackle and injury to Arsenal forward Eduardo Da silva, and a successful surgery following a fractured dislocation of the left Fibula and ankle joint many feared he might not be able to play again.

Two days later information from the club's medical staff has it that it would take him about 12 weeks to stop using clutches, and this will lowed by slight weight bearing exercises in about 6 months time. He should be recover fully and be ready to run again in about Nine months.

This is in tandem with Arsene Wenger's initial fear that this could mean the end of season for Eduardo. Arsenal is now even more depleted and this endangers their title hopes. Though Injury prone Robin Van Persie would be back in a week's time haven resumed training with the team this week. Whether he'll be fit to play just yet is yet to be decided. But we are sure Arsene will not want to rush him this time.

The team is now depleted both in the front and behind with Kolo Toure and Djouro still out.

We join everyone to wish Eduardo a quick recovery. If Arsene Wenger wins this league it will be wonderful as it now appears more difficult especially as rival United isn't having the same kind of problems.

Arsenal VS Ac Milan : Preview

Arsenal has lost thrice this season and in all have come back with a win. They have been outstanding in the league despite being ruled out from the start of the season till now. They had a first champions League Final taste in a season when everything at home seemed to be going bad for the team. They were the exact opposite of what they were in the league when it comes to Europe.

Last season the team was knocked out of all all competitions within just 13 days and some are afraid this could repeat itself this season having already been knocked out of the Carling Cup and FA Cup by Spurs and Manchester United respectively.

However the team is confident the can bounce back from a disappointing 4-0 defeat at Old Trafford especially with all first team players except Alumnia available for tonights tie.

On paper, clearly the gunners are the underdogs in today's game as youth, hunger and quality come against experience and maturity and quality.

On the other end Ac Milan comes into this game with a boost of returnee players like Kaka and Alexandre Pato.
The team has everything apart from experience and quality but have failed to get it right in Seria A unlike their Champions league second round opponent.

The team is said to have started slowly in the past 3 or 4 seasons in the same pattern only to pick up in march and April and this is getting close to April but can it always be that way. The Gunners in comparison to this Milan team is no march but in the past we have seen this same inexperienced team go past teams like Juventus, Real Madrid etc.

In all of this one thing is sure. Quality football is in the offing and the entire football enthusiast across the world is waiting to see which one pays off- Youth/Experience or Hunger/Maturity ?
